Honda VRX black roadster
|
An interesting custom category: The Roadster.
Fortunately We can find it among the Honda VT bikes. In the beginning of 70s the Harley Davidson tried to make a dirt-track version that was the XR 750. It looked like Honda 350 Scrambler what was made in 60s.
Those were race bikes and were able to do jumps and stunts. ( We gotta mention of piston displacement rate. The H-D XR 750 and Honda VT 750 have the same: 79x76 mm. ) Harley also made some kind of bikes like this. Let's talk about our favorite Honda VT. The Japanese designers of Honda made the first Honda V2 roadster in 90s.
That was the VRX 400. It's got double exhaust pipes and been taller and shorter like the other type of chopper, cruiser bikes. It looked like any simple bike but seemed unique and cool. That was more comfortable for classical touring and daily riding. Honda factory put it on the Japanese market and unfortunately there wasn't any higher piston displacement among these bikes and we are sorry about it.
In 2010 the Honda put the new V2 roadster on the market and this is the VT 750 S ( in U.S.A. RS ) Shadow ! It's got the black, durable engine block of 750 C2, classical chain drive and in 2012 with retro tri-color painting. Some people felt nostalgia because of these bikes. Some people think about RS Shadow that is just a copy of Harley sportster but maybe they don't know the predecessor, that was the small VRX Honda.
The American Cobra company transformed from RS into flat-tracker and even the sport bike fans take their hats off to it.
If I had any opportunity I would buy it next to my old 600 and 1.1 Aero.
Greetings:
